Mediaeval Baebes

Formed in the Summer of 1996 by "Miranda Sex Garden's" vocalist Katherine Blake and accompanist Dorothy Carter, The Mediaeval Baebes have had a meteoric rise to fame. Following their first gig in a graveyard, The Baebes have played churches, castles, rock venues and S & M clubs. Capturing the attention of Virgin Records via a demo tape recorded in a cellar, They have seldom been out of the public eye courting contoversy by announcing some were "White Witches" and being banned from The BBC's Songs of Praise. Their debut album titled "Salvus Nos" (ironically "Save Us") it shot into the classical charts at number 2 and stayed in the top ten for three months. Their second album Worldes Blysse, was launched on 19th October 1998 and looks set to dominate the classical charts for the second year running.
